Ciudad Emergente: Participatory Cleanings are tactical urbanism actions deployed by Ciudad Emergente with more than 300 volunteers to eradicate illegal dumping and landfills from neighborhoods in Antofagasta, north of Chile. Public and private institutions and educational establishments along with Community Base Organizations participate on this collective effort. The cleanings are short-term actions that seek long term changes in the transformation and improvement of neighborhoods. These actions have been done framed within the CREO Antofagasta plan.
