The Latin American Tactical Urbanism Salon is an event for the citizen created by Ciudad Emergente that seeks to convene and connect grassroots organizations with decision makers through the interactive display of tactical urbanism projects – short term actions that seek to generate profound long-term changes, aimed at improving the quality of life in cities.

The first Latin American Tactical Urbanism Salon took place in Santiago, Chile, at the start of the XVIII Bienal de Arquitectura de Chile 2012: Cities for Citizens

The Tactical Urbanism Salon is an event originally developed by The StreetPlans Collaborative and Change Administration in New York City that currently travels through certain cities in the United States. The Latin American version is carried out by the Ciudad Emergenteteam.
